Details of Beckenham Circle of the Catenian Association - the international brotherhood of Catholic business and professional gentlemen. The Catenians were founded in Manchester in 1908 and have over 11,000 members throughout Great Britain. There are around 300 Circles throughout Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Hong Kong, South Africa and Malta. Members are referred to as Brothers. The Association is open to men who must be, and remain, practising Roman Catholics. In brief its aims and objectives are to promote social bonds between members and their families, help young Catholics in their choice and pursuit of a career and maintain and administer benevolent funds.
